Ordering, artwork and lead times
Before Sending Artwork
The fastest orders are not the shortest emails. They are the ones that tell Man Label what the label must do on the garment.
- Attach vector artwork where possible, such as PDF, EPS or AI.
- Send finished label size, fold type and quantity.
- State the garment use: neck seam, side seam, hem tab, care label or swing tag.
- Include colour references if the brand colour is strict.
- Attach old label photographs if this is a repeat or relabelling job.

Check the label at actual size
Read every line, check fold direction, confirm stitch allowance and make sure the label still works on the garment.
Use a woven sample when risk is high
A pre-production woven sample is £35 plus VAT, credited against orders over 2,000 labels.

Man Label does not offer same-day woven labels because loom work and finishing cannot be rushed honestly.
Deposits, payment and repeat orders
First Orders Start With A Deposit
First orders require a 50% deposit before proofing begins and the balance before dispatch. This keeps proofing, loom time and finishing attached to a confirmed job, not to a speculative quote.
Repeat orders from approved artwork can usually be started with a purchase order and invoiced on dispatch. If the artwork, size, fold or colour changes, the order is treated as a new proof because the production instruction has changed.

Jobs Man Label will turn down
The Label Should Never Be Used To Mislead A Buyer
- Counterfeit brand labels, copied trademarks or labels intended to pass goods off as another maker’s work.
- One-off name labels below the stated minimum order.
- Same-day woven labels.
- Loose claims such as organic, fire-retardant or PPE compliant unless proper certification text is supplied.
- Artwork that is abusive, discriminatory or plainly intended to mislead a buyer.
